Smartphone market in the Nordic region grew by 3% annually and 7% sequentially in Q3 2022. Apple and Samsung together continued to dominate. Detailed analysis by countries are available here from our Smartphone Country Share Tracker (SCST) Service.
Samsung accounted for 34% of the volumes to the region while Apple took 27% in the quarter. Their combined market share being marginally higher by 1% when compared to a year back. Samsung led in four of the major markets of Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and Finland. Apple on the other hand led in one but managed to grow its smartphone volumes in the region by 25% in Q3 2022.
In the holiday season, we expect the momentum to pick up further for Apple armed with its new iPhone flagships. Is Samsung up for it with its premium foldables and the Galaxy S series?
