Spanish Smartphone Market Grew by 7% YoY in Q3 2022

Spanish smartphone market grew by 7% annually and 3% sequentially in Q3 2022. It has been after four quarters that the market has witnessed positive annual momentum. Detailed analysis on the market and vendors are available here from our Smartphone Country Share Tracker (SCST) Service.

Samsung, Xiaomi and Apple were the top three vendors with market shares of 30%, 29% and 13% respectively. All of the top five vendors except for OPPO grew. Apple recorded a strong annual growth of 60% in the quarter. For Samsung, its Galaxy A and Galaxy S series were the key volume drivers. Chinese vendors during the quarter accounted for nearly half the smartphone volumes.

Spain is less likely to be impacted from the upcoming downturn compared to its European counterparts. As it moves into the all-important holiday season in Q4 2022 which of the smartphone vendors are best placed to take advantage of its relative economic stability?
