The Belgian Smartphone market grew by 33% annually in Q3 2021. The sharp growth spurt was aided by better COVID management since the second half of the year. Also, being a much smaller market relative to the other European nations also helps on the rate of growth.
Out latest estimates from the Smartphone Country Share Tracker (SCST) Service points to the continuing dominance of Samsung and Apple in this market. Together, the two accounted for 6 in 10 devices shipped during the quarter. Samsung led with 39% of the market share.
However, the two, here too are not without competition from the Chinese vendors. Xiaomi was the third largest in the market and together with other Chinese vendors took over a quarter of the smartphone volumes in Belgium.
Typically , the last quarter Apple makes a very strong comeback. Will it be any different this year?
