Realme launched the next iterations of its Narzo series smartphone in India. Of the two models Realme Narzo 30 Pro is 5G capable and is being touted as the cheapest device in the 5G segment. Realme was the fourth largest vendor in the Indian smartphone market in 2020 and per our latest report available here from the Smartphone Country Share Tracker (SCST) Service.
The vendor has been able to grow its market share by more than 8X in the country since its debut in 2018. It is banking heavily on the 5G capabilities for the next growth phase, even though the network is yet to be available in the Indian market.
Both Narzo 30 Pro and Narzo 30A would be available for retail on Flipkart, Realme Online Store and Offline retail outlets, in the first week of March. The devices to be available for retail at:
Realme Narzo 30 Pro (6 GB RAM) = US$233
Realme Narzo 30 Pro (8 GB RAM) = US$ 274
Realme Narzo 30A (3GB RAM) = US$ 123
Realme Narzo 30A (4GB RAM) = US$ 137
With 5G network off the immediate horizon in India, will vendors touting the 5G capabilities be a decisive purchase factor?
How is the competition likely to respond and on 5G going masses? What can we expect as the 5G race heats up in India?
