VinSmart, the home grown smartphone firm from Vietnam, announced its entry into the 5G segment with Vsmart Aris 5G device.  It would be the first Vietnamese branded smartphone to support 5G mobile network. The prototype device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G processor and has 3 cameras on its back, while a 20 Mp selfie camera, is in the front. It has a 6.5 inch display and a finger print sensor integrated into the device’s power button on the side. We expect the retail device to be supporting the mmWave band.

We understand the device has gone into the test production phase and VinSmart has partnered with Viettel in this test phase. We expect commercial availability of Vsmart Aris 5G in Q3 2020.
