South East Asian Countries led among the Emerging and Smaller smartphone markets in Q2 2019. Our recent report available here from the Smartphone Country Share Tracker (SCST) Service the “Next 45 Smartphone Markets” together constituted 24% of the global smartphone volumes.
Indonesia, Thailand and Philippines were placed in the top five of the forty five, in terms of shipments in the quarter. Samsung was the most dominant vendor as it led in 39 of the 45 markets tracked.
The 45 emerging and small countries tracked included: Argentina, Algeria, Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Belgium, Chile, Colombia, Denmark, Ecuador, Egypt, Finland, Ghana, Hong Kong, Hungary, Indonesia, Iran, Israel, Kenya, Malaysia, Morocco, Myanmar, Netherlands, Nigeria, Norway, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Switzerland, Sweden, Singapore, Taiwan, Tanzania, Thailand, Turkey, UAE, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Venezuela and Vietnam.
