Realme Smartphones Soar in India

by Neil Mawston | Jul 25, 2019

India smartphone shipments grew +3% YoY to 36 million units in Q2 2019.

The world’s second largest market continues to grow, due to vibrant discounts from online retailers.

Xiaomi retained first position by marketshare, but Samsung is closing in fast. Xiaomi will be looking over its shoulder in the coming months.

Meanwhile, Realme was the star performer. Funky models, like the C2, are proving popular. The Chinese firm captured record marketshare in the quarter, attacking Vivo, OPPO, Huawei and others.
