by Woody Oh | Sep 18, 2017

OLED smartphones are emerging as the differentiator in the saturated smartphone industry worldwide. More and more flagship smartphones are beginning to adopt OLED display panels to seek for something innovative in terms of design (internal and external), and something efficient in terms of power consumption.

Samsung has been leading this OLED smartphone market so far, and captured no.1 spot in most of major countries except China in Q2 2017. Apple will participate in this market with its first OLED-based iPhone X from Q4 2017, likely impacting the global OLED smartphone dynamics.

The NEW report published by Handset Country Share Tracker (HCST) service, as linked below, is tracking the OLED smartphone shipments and market share in FIVE major countries in China, the US, India, Japan and South Korea.
