Will iPhone X Become the Global Best-Selling Smartphone in Q4 2017?

by Woody Oh | Sep 12, 2017

The famous Apple's September launching event is just less than 24 hours away, and it is called 'Special' event as it is believed that this company is unveiling the new type of display-based iPhone at the new Steve Jobs Theater.

Our HCST service expects this new type of iPhone, iPhone X as it is rumored to be, to be the world's best-selling smartphone in the final quarter of 2017 as we believe that Apple is heavily promoting this AMOLED device more than its other LCD-based models. It is projected that iPhone X and the new 4.7 inch LCD model will compete for the best-selling smartphone position in Q4 2017, but we think that iPhone X will beat the other LCD models due to the assumption that AMOLED will be the selling-points that Apple will be pioneering for the next three to five years.

Whether our prediction would be correct or not will be determined in the next four months, and the results will be available in our HCST reports for Q4 2017. We listed up the relevant reports as of Q2 2017, all published under HCST service.
