Xiaomi Pushes Android One Phones to Indonesia

by Neil Mawston | Aug 21, 2017

Rumors emerged this week that Xiaomi is working on a new portfolio of low-cost "pure" Android One smartphones for Indonesia through 2018.

Flushed with success across India, and a resurgence in China, Xiaomi is now targeting Indonesia as one of its "big three" Asian markets.

Xiaomi has good room for expansion there.

Xiaomi's Indonesia smartphone marketshare currently sits at a tiny 2% and it does not have a single model inside the top-10 best-selling devices in the country.
