TECNO Debuts in Bangladesh

TECNO a sub brand of Transsion Holdings has entered the Bangladesh market with the launch of five smartphones. This market is set to grow in double digits in 2017, per our latest report available here from the Handset Country Share Tracker Service.

The parent firm already has a presence in Bangladesh with its other sub brand in Itel. TECNO has targeted the high, mid and entry-price tiers with the five launches and the wholesale price of the devices as i7 (US$ 210), Camon CXAir (US$ 134), i3 (US$ 119), WX4 (US$ 90) and WX3 (US$ 69).

Bangladesh smartphone market has a strong presence of local vendors, per our latest market share analysis. We have tracked an increasing presence of Chinese vendors in this growing market with the likes of Huawei, Oppo, and Xiaomi all growing their shipment volumes steadily.
