Q1’17: Apple + Samsung Continue Handset Revenue Domination

Our latest Global Handset Value Share report for Q1 2017 from the Handset Country Share Tracker (HCST) Service, confirms to Apple leading by Revenues, in five of the six regions tracked, in the quarter. Apple and Samsung together captured 59% of worldwide handset revenues in Q1 2017.

As the Global Handset Wholesale (trade) Revenues grew by 3% annually, many of the vendors tracked witnessed a revenue decline in Q1 2017

This report tracks quarterly global handset (mobile phone) revenues, ASPs and shipment metrics for 20 major vendors from 2007 to Q1 2017. Global revenue-share, shipment-share and ASP’s for top vendors across 6 regions are also included.
