Transsion Launches Tecno Smartphones in India

Transsion Holdings introduced one more of its brand, Tecno into the Indian market. The firm already has its Itel brand of feature phones finding instant traction in the India, per our latest report, available here, from the Handset Country Share Tracker (HCST) Service.

The firm launched five smartphones under the Tecno brand and has prioritized offline channel. The mid-High range “ I ” series consisting of five smartphones (i5,i5 Pro, i3, i3 Pro and i7) is positioned for the mid-price tier. The i7 would have a wholesale price of US$196, i5 Pro (US$170), i5 (US$150), i3 Pro (US$130) and i3 (US$104).

While the flagship i7 would hit the market in May, rest of the four devices would be available by 22 April’17. The firm already has made substantial investments in channel and after sale service to excel in the hyper competitive Indian smartphone market.
