Tizen-operated smartphones such as Samsung Z1 and Z3 have been only sold in selected Asian Pacific countries including India and Bangladesh so far, but some of African countries,
South Africa and Nigeria,
are starting to embrace Samsung Z2, another Tizen-powered smartphone supporting 4G LTE network, newly launched very recent month.
Most of African countries are very much Android-dominated in terms of smartphone operating system, but it remains to be seen whether
the cost-competitive Tizen devices from Samsung would be able to eat into the established market share taken by Android over the next couple of quarters.
