Apple Led Smartphone Revenues in Q2 2016

Asia Pacific was the largest region by smartphone value and volumes in Q2 2016, per our latest report available here from the Handset Country Share Tracker (HCST) Service. Apple led in the global smartphone revenue rankings, at no1 position while it was Samsung that held the top position in the volume segment in Q2 2016.

Global Smartphone Industry revenues declined by -5% YoY in Q2 2016, due to softening of volumes. Apple was followed by Samsung, Huawei, Oppo and vivo from a revenue perspective. The report also captures the Wholesale Average Selling ASP’s for all major vendors across six regions. ASP’s in the quarter declined by -6% globally.
