A Year into 4G LTE in Indonesia

It has been almost year now, with the top telecom operators in Indonesia like Telkomsel, XL Axiata, and Indosat, launching 4G network commercially in the country. There has been a steady commitment from the smartphone vendors too, on local manufacturing to comply with the government regulation related to 4G devices. The latest one being Lenovo which has started manufacturing its 4G LTE devices in Indonesia. This follows Samsung which took a similar direction in the mid of 2015.

Our recent research report, from the Handset Country Share Tracker (HCST) service, indicates to the Indonesian Smartphone market growing by +13% QoQ in Q3 2015.
