Xiaomi Ramps up Mid-Market with Redmi Note 3

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 3 bolstering its smartphone portfolio targeting the mid-price tier. The 5.5 inch device has been launched in two variants, the 16 GB (US$ 130) and 32 GB (US$ 157) wholesale prices. Metal body and Fingerprint scanner being the standout features for this smartphone running on a Media-Tek chipset. The device for now would be made available in China.

Our recent report from the Handset Country Share Tracker (HCST) service, indicates that Xiaomi has been losing market share in China, its home and largest market.
