Fujitsu Becomes the Biggest Handset Vendor at NTT Docomo in 3 Years

by Woody Oh | Nov 24, 2015

According to the recently-posted Japan handset report by operators, published under our Handset Country Share Tracker (HCST) service, Fujitsu became the largest handset vendor at NTT-Docomo, the biggest mobile carrier in Japan, in Q3 2015, surpassing Apple, Sony and Sharp.

In terms of handset shipment in Q3 2015, Fujitsu regained the top position at NTT-Docomo in THREE years since Q3 2012, mostly helped by almost exclusive partnership with NTT-Docomo and a large number of products across RakuRaku and Arrow-branded models, overtaking Apple who led the top ranking chart with iPhone 6 and 6S during the quarter, but with few number of products.

The in-detail analysis and handset vendor share by 3 main Japanese carriers including SoftBank and KDDI (au) can be identified here.
