Wiko is Coming to South Korean Smartphone Market

by Woody Oh | Oct 26, 2015

Wiko, the world's 20th biggest smartphone vendor and the 3rd largest handset vendor in its Home French market during Q2 2015, is preparing to launch its LTE-capable 'Wiko Wax' device in South Korea when the current radio verification tests are done.

Since the stringent handset subsidy regulation was put in place over a year ago, South Korean smartphone market has changed a lot, as explained in the speific insight report from Handset Country Share Tracker (HCST) service.

Many overseas device makers such as Huawei, TCL-Alcatel, Lenovo-Motorola and others have recently started to enter into Korean handset market to ride the wave of the regulated subsidy regulation.
