Intex fast emerging as the next smartphone challenger in India

Intex, of lately has witnessed galloping growth in the Indian smartphone market and is now looking to challenge the dominance of Samsung and Micromax. Our latest report from the HCST service available here, analyses the vendor’s success mantra, challenges and its future prospects.

Intex was placed third in our quarterly report on Indian smartphone market for Q2 2015, with a market share of 10.5%. An annual comparison of the shipment volumes indicates that the vendor has grown more than 4X in India. This growth also catapulted it to lead our top-100 global smartphone microvendor rankings, highlighting its increasing global impact.


According to the report the vendor achieves this growth by bringing in a distinct, clear and aggressive strategy for each of the aspects of product, price, channel and promotion for its devices business. The report is a highly valuable tool for handset vendors, component makers, platform providers, mobile operators and investors interested in India in particular.
