Global Handset Revenues grew higher than Shipments in Q2 2015

Global handset industry wholesale revenues grew by +11% annually in Q2 2015, with Apple maintaining its leadership position. Samsung though stood second in revenue estimates, it lead Apple by a huge margin in volume terms, to take the top position in the quarter. The top two together accounted for more than 60% of the total handset industry wholesale revenues worldwide in Q2 2015.

According to our latest report (VALUE SHARE: Global Handset Revenue & ASP By Vendor by Region : Q2 2015), Asia Pacific witnessed the fastest annual growth rate (19%) in revenues, due to the increased volume and improved ASP’s from higher-portion of 3G and 4G smartphones. North America continued on with its ASP dominance though, recording almost twice as that in APAC for the quarter. Global handset industry wholesale ASP increased +10% annually in Q2 2015.
