Strategy Analytics has recently published the quarterly LTE handset shipments tracker by global and five top countries, China, USA, Japan, South Korea and Canada, 'Global LTE Handset Vendor Shipments by Country: Q2 2015', under our Handset Country Share Tracker (HCST) service, and according to this report, China captured almost 50% of total LTE handsets shipped worldwide during Q2 2015.

China is swiftly becoming LTE-centric ecosystem in terms of networks and handsets, with dozens of international handset brands, such as Apple and Samsung, and Chinese brands, such as Xiaomi, Huawei, ZTE, vivo, Oppo, Meizu, Lenovo, Gionee and Coolpad, focusing on supplying higher portion of LTE-capable handsets every quarter. It might be worth noting that the combined share of all the Chinese brands skyrocketed to 80% in China during the quarter, largely boosted by the LTE-focused strategies from top-tier brand, Huawei, to lesser-known local brands.

The report, available to our HCST clients, can be checked out at this link, and it tracks the global LTE handset shipments and vendor marketshare for 24 major LTE handset vendors in 5 major LTE countries from Q1 2012 through Q2 2015.
