New research (here) from our Emerging Device Techs (EDT) service predicts Motorola will be the 3rd largest 5G smartphone OEM in the US and North America during 2022.

Despite intense competition from Google Pixel, OnePlus, HMD Nokia, TCL and others, we expect Moto to stay ahead of the chasing pack. Motorola has a famous American brand, good carrier relationships, and many of its 5G Android models are relatively affordable and "good enough" for everyday use.

Of course, Moto has a long way to go to catch Apple iPhone and Samung. Those two brands completely dominate the premium 5G channel, as can be seen here.
