Apple knows this. That is why Apple is piling headfirst into Bluetooth headphones. AirPods are already the world's no.1 Bluetooth headsets, as we report here.

Apple this week updated its AirPods with version 2.

AirPods are getting smarter.

The new AirPods include Siri for hands-free voice-control, Qi for wire-free battery charging, and a new H1 chip for more-stable connections over-the-air.

There were some disappointments, though. Pricing has gone up, the exterior styling has not been improved, and there were no additional color options (like red).

Nonetheless, this was overall a solid update from Apple. Rivals like Bose, Samsung and Jabra have a tougher job on their hands for 2019.
