Bitcoin Hits Record High

Bitcoin, a digital currency, soared to a record high in recent days. As Wikileaks posted recently, the price of Bitcoin has jumped from US$0.06 in 2010 to US$5,800 in 2017 -- a truly astonishing rise, by anyone's standards.

Of course, the Bitcoin and digital currency wave is now spreading to smartphones. Bitcoin puts a bank in your pocket. What does this mean for device makers, retailers, operators, vehicle manufacturers, regulators and mobile payment providers?
