The phenomenal growth is fueled by the rising adoption of VR hearsets and the need for user generate content. The biggest configuration category will be single- or dual-lens fisheye panoramic cameras that offer ease of use and are affordably priced. These single- or dual-lens cameras are highly popular among consumer segment and the triumph of the cameras will continue due their affordable price an ease of use. The top-3 vendors in the 360 market currently are Ricoh, Samsung and LG, who offer consumer grade single- or dual-lens 360 cameras. Ricoh has been in the market since 2013 and continues to lead the market with its Theta lineup. Samsung and LG are newcomers that released their first 360 cameras only last year, but the devices have found the customers and are fast becoming the most popular cameras available. Samsung released its updated Gear 360 model in March 2017 which ensures Samsung to stay among top vendors in the future as well. However, as the market grows so will the amount of vendors.
