Global Handset Revenues Grow in Q3 2015

Global handset industry revenues grew at +9% annually in Q3 2015, while profits grew by an impressive +40% YoY in the quarter. Apple, which introduced two new models in the quarter maintained its commanding lead position for profitability. Huawei, Vivo and Meizu also performed well, highlighting the potential for some vendors in the lower and mid-tiers. By contrast, Xiaomi lost value share on an annual basis, due to its fading strength in China.
