While profits remain elusive for many handset vendors, revenues for global handset makers grew by more than 11% annually in Q2 2015. Profits grew even quicker, up over 24% in Q2’15 from the year-ago quarter. Those profits are largely captured by two vendors, with one (Apple) capturing the lion’s share of those profits.
Apple solidified its leading position by profitability in the second quarter of 2015 and Huawei maintained third place for revenue and profits in the quarter. Xiaomi lost value share annually, while OPPO and Vivo are performing well.
