• Apple continues as the leader in shipments as well as in revenues, but competition is closing in. Apple’s share in shipments is shrinking faster than its share in revenues as Apple masterfully manages the portfolio so that the ASP stays high.
• Beats is slowly climbing in the revenue ranks with its premium portfolio. It has streamlined its portfolio and is fully focusing on TWS and banded headsets.
• Xiaomi is in the second position in shipments and revenues, but the geopolitical situation will hurt its growth momentarily.
• There are three vendors in the "Billionaires Club" of TWS headsets: Apple, Samsung and Xiaomi. More vendors joining each year.
• India is emerging as the next hub of growth for TWS vendors. The ASP in the country is too low to make the vendors appear in the revenue leaderboard, but shipment volumes are healthy.
• boAt, Noise, pTron and Boult are rising stars in the Indian market. Indian market is estimated to surpass Western Europe in shipments during 2022 and North America in 2023.
• JBL, a brand under Samsung subsidiary company Harman, is also climbing up in the ranks thanks to its vast distribution network and huge success in portable speakers.
