Apple Leads in TWS Revenues with Nearly 50% Share but Competition Intensifies

Apple is the leader in shipments as well as in revenues, but competition is closing in. Apple is already making more revenue in Q3 2021 with TWS AirPods than the next 16 vendors combined.

Xiaomi is in the second position in shipments with its affordable TWS lineup and is threatening Apple’s shipment dominance. 

Samsung is in the second position in revenues in Q3 2021 but Xiaomi is to surpass Samsung in 2022.

Samsung will drop to fourth position in shipments and third in revenues in 2022 as competition intensifies. 

JBL, a brand under Samsung subsidiary company Harman, is climbing up in the ranks thanks to its vast distribution network and huge success in portable speakers. 

Combined Samsung and JBL take over 10% of shipments and over 12% of revenues in Q3 2021. 

Strong players emerging from China and Indian markets such as QCY, boAT and Edifier as well as Oppo, vivo and Realme.
