Conversational UIs, in the initial form of chatbots, are poised to shape the way users communicate with businesses, their smart homes and soon, a plethora of connected devices.  These chatbots will provide a more engaging and efficient conversational experience for the user than traditional methods of communication.  However, three primary barriers will hinder their adoption rate: discovery, usability, and security.

This report presents Strategy Analytics’ User Experience Strategies observational research into the emerging behaviors, needs, and pain points of consumers regarding use of conversational chatbots.
