Limited Data Plans Frustrate Mobile Video Users and Impact Preferred Consumer Behavior

Download Report

Report Summary:

Much like mobile music, limited mobile data plans are impacting mobile video behaviors.  Streaming video on a smartphone has continuously risen year over year in both the US and Western Europe and continues to rise.  While streaming of video is preferred to provide instant gratification, Wi-Fi streaming is the most common way to preserve mobile data.   More than twice as many consumers in the US pay any amount for a video service/subscription than in Western Europe.  One of the biggest downfalls of current video services is the inability to seamlessly and legitimately download video content for later viewing.
