Report Summary:

67% of Chinese survey respondents agree to some extent that their mobile phone is the main device they use to listen to music (streamed or downloaded).  The number of regular mobile music streamers experienced a steady increase from 2015, while mobile MP3 consumption has experienced a slight decrease in regular use.  In China, mobile music file sharing apps are causing strong variation in music behaviors, preventing users from even considering paying for music services, as the majority of Chinese survey respondents indicate they currently do not pay for a music service because they feel they can find the music they want elsewhere for free.
