Conversational UIs, in the initial form of chatbots, are poised to shape the way users communicate with businesses, their smart homes and soon, a plethora of connected devices. These chatbots will provide a more engaging and efficient conversational experience for the user than traditional methods of communication. However, three primary barriers will hinder their adoption rate: discovery, usability, and security.
This report presents Strategy Analytics’ User Experience Strategies observational research into the emerging behaviors, needs, and pain points of consumers regarding use of conversational chatbots. Based on this research, recommendations are provided for delivering the optimal chatbot experience.
