Report Summary:

This short insight considers some of the results from the recently published OECD Fixed Broadband Price Benchmarking Service from Teligen. Across the 40 countries covered within the service, residential users can expect to pay on average, between USD PPP 29 and USD PPP 67 per month for broadband and related services (basic phone and television), while the incremental cost of multiplay can increase the cost by up to 77%, depending on the speed of service. While advertised download speeds have continued to rise, a number of operators have embedded this speed increase into existing service offerings, so that many users will benefit from a higher speed service with no or little change to prices.
