More high speed broadband plans as ISPs roll out new offers in the latest Teligen OECD Fixed Broadband Price Benchmark

Download Report

Report Summary:

This short insight considers some of the results from the recently published OECD Fixed Broadband Price Benchmarking Service from Teligen. Across the 40 countries covered within the service, residential users can expect to pay on average, between USD PPP 29 and USD PPP 66 per month for broadband and related services (basic phone and television), while the incremental cost of multiplay can increase the cost by up to 76%, depending on the speed of service. The key change going forward is likely to be an increase in advertised download speeds, which continue to increase, as providers roll out higher speed services, while removing low-end ones. New users will continue to be able to benefit from promotional offers – some of which will be very attractive, however, once outside of these offers, price increases are likely.
