Report Summary:

Following a strong performance in the fourth quarter of 2014, the Pay TV operators in North America saw a reversal as total subscribers among the tracked operators declined across the region.  Tracked operators in the US saw subscriber losses of 50,000 while the operators in Canada lost 70,000.  The digital platforms in the US did remain strong, with subscriber growth of 212,000 moving the total to nearly 94 million digital subscribers. In Canada, the operators did not fair so well, with digital subscribers declining by 25,000.

This interactive database summarizes quarterly subscriber growth trends for the 26 leading Digital Pay TV Operators operating in the United States and Canada, comprising 96% of the North American digital market and 93% of the total North American market. The benchmark report tracks operator-level subscribers, market shares, and selected financial metrics, including historical data.  The report also contains a flat file of all data, allowing clients to create customized pivot tables.
