Broadband ISPs in the US have been spending the last few quarters rolling out higher speed services as their subscriber counts have also continued to increase. The Gigabit movement in the US is well underway, with operators like AT&T, Comcast and Cox pushing toward that target in more cities. In the second quarter of 2014, the tracked operators in the US and Canada added 455,000 new subscribers. Year over year, subscribers have increased by 3.2 million for a CAGR of 3.4%. This interactive database summarizes quarterly subscriber growth trends for the 32 leading Broadband Service Providers (BSPs) operating in the United States and Canada, comprising 87% of the North American market. In addition to tracking subscribers, market shares and selected financial metrics, the report also provides operator-level subscriber forecasts and overall market forecasts for the year 2014. The report also contains a flat file of all data, allowing clients to create customized pivot tables.
