Report Summary:

Broadband subscriber growth in North America has continued into the first quarter of 2015, albeit at a slightly slower rate than the first quarter of 2014.  In the US, the tracked operators added 1.15 million new subscribers during the quarter - a bit less than the 1.2 million added in the previous first quarter.  In Canada, only 25,000 subscribers were added by the tracked operators.  High speed services continue to rollout across the region, as cable operators and Telcos fight for differentiation and market share.  Many cable operators in the US are marketing new Gigabit services, and the Telcos are using FTTx to remain competitive with similar speed offers.

This interactive database summarizes quarterly subscriber growth trends for the 26 leading Broadband Service Providers (BSPs) operating in the United States and Canada, comprising 87% of the North American market. The operator-level tracked data includes subscribers, growth rates, ARPU and other selected financial metrics.  The report also contains a flat file of all data, allowing clients to create customized pivot tables.
