Report Summary:

Broadband growth in the European market has slowed during the first half of 2015, but operators across the region are still adding significant numbers of new subscribers. Tracked operators did show growth year-over-year, with an addition of more than 900,000 subscribers in the second quarter of 2015.  There continues to be growth in the fiber broadband services across the region, while DSL continues its slow decline in many areas.  The focus on higher speeds and fiber deployments is creating some significant competitive pricing and marketing in countries like the UK.  These are also the areas where we see consolidation and strategic moves to offer multiplay services including fixed and mobile.  Total tracked European subscribers in the benchmark now exceed 131 million.

This interactive database summarizes quarterly subscriber growth trends for the 98 leading Broadband Service Providers (BSPs) based in Western Europe and where possible, services offered in Central and Eastern Europe are also tracked, resulting in coverage of 60% of the European market. The operator-level tracked data includes subscribers, growth rates, ARPU and other selected financial metrics. The report also contains a flat file of all data, allowing clients to create customized pivot tables.
