Report Summary:

As the 5G ecosystem matures, leading players are actively extending their product and service portfolios to capture 5G value in industrial markets. While CSPs offer Managed Private Networks on their own Spectrum, the Hyperscaler Cloud Providers (HCPs) have begun to offer Private LTE and 5G as a Service in the Cloud.

Although Network based solutions can offer better distributed management, reliability and scalability, both the public spectrum based 5G virtual private network solution and the dedicated/shared spectrum based 5G private network solutions will be needed. In the emerging race of ‘Network as a Cloud Service’ vs. ‘Computing as a Network Resource, the development of the relevant industrial applications ecosystems will be critical.
