Adding Communications Service Provider (CSP) Value to ‘Edge Cloud’

Download Report

Report Summary:

This presentation reviews how Communications Service Providers (CSPs) can add Value at the Edge with Interoperable Edge Computing.

It reviews the Evolution of Cloud and Telco Edge Architectures from 2016 – 2020; summarizes the challenge of determining where to place storage and compute resources at the Edge; provides four examples of Edge Use Cases where CSPs can add significant value; and offers three recommendations for CSPs.

The original presentation was given under the title ‘Interoperable Edge Computing’ at Layer 123 World Summit on October 14 2020.
