At the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show 2014 Yahoo announced new content delivery services, the acquisition of a smart home screen application for Android devices (called Aviate), and a new advertising platform with accompanying tools. Despite claiming an impressive audience of 400m monthly mobile users, Yahoo continues to lag behind market leaders Google and Microsoft in taking a share of the global $33B mobile advertising opportunity associated with mobile browsing and mobile apps.
