Strategy Analytics forecasts global mobile advertising spend to grow by a CAGR of 17.6% and almost double from just over $100B in 2017 to almost $200B by 2022, driven by advertiser demand to reach a significantly large growing base of increasingly engaged smartphone users. Across this period, the share of digital advertising dollars captured by mobile devices will rise from 50% to 64%, as growth in mobile advertising outpaces desktop advertising.
