Report Summary:

Tesco has finally completed the long sought sale of its internet video store Blinkbox to quad-play (voice, video, data, and mobile) service provider TalkTalk. Blinkbox Music and Blinkbox Books are not included in this deal. According to Tesco, they will be sold off separately. Once thought to be going to Vodafone, TalkTalk emerged as the most likely landing spot for Blinkbox in recent weeks. This Insight examines the underlying market conditions causing Tesco to divest itself of Blinkbox and the implications of TalkTalk’s acquisition.
