Disney Edges Out Tencent as #2 Largest Provider of SVOD Services

Global SVOD subscriptions reached nearly 770M in Q3 2020, up 39% YoY, among SVOD services tracked. Disney+ (16.2M), Tencent Video (6.0M) and Amazon Prime Video (5.24M) combined to account for nearly 54% of new SVOD subscribers in Q3 2020, among SVOD services tracked. Combined Disney services (Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+) accounted for 44% of new SVOD subscribers.
With 50.0M MAUs in Q3 2020 Crackle Plus surpassed Roku Channel among tracked AVOD services. Despite seeing monthly active users (MAUs) grow by 7.0% QoQ in Q3 2020 Roku saw its share of MAUs decline from 28.1% in Q1 2020 to 24.8% in Q3 2020.
