As a result of the financial crisis, the global advertising industry saw a dramatic decline in spending during 2009 in almost all advertising segments with the exception of online advertising. On a total level, global advertising expenditure was down 10.5% in 2009 compared to 2008. For the full year 2010 we expect that all advertising segments except print advertising will have returned to growth and as a result we project global advertising spend to increase 3.4% in 2010 This report provides Strategy Analytics’ outlook for the global advertising industry, including country specific data for 22 key advertising markets.
