According to findings from our ConsumerMetrix survey, Europe's cable TV providers seem to be caught in a pincer movement between satellite's innovation and digital terrestrial's pricing advantage. And consumers are finding newer services such as mobile phone apps and internet access on the TV less useful than many more established television services. As Europe's Cable Congress gets under way in Brussels, this report presents selected survey findings relating to subscribers to and users of television services in Europe, and segments the findings by “access platform”, ie Cable, Satellite, DTT.
