The global online advertising industry remains on the fast growth track driven by emerging market growth. Most of online advertising companies enjoyed a significant growth in the sector during the second quarter. We estimate that global online advertising revenues for Q2 2011 grew 24.4 per cent over the same quarter last year. For the twelve trailing months from Q2 2011 (TTM), global online advertising industry reached $73.4 billion, up 21.4 per cent compared with Q2 2010 TTM. Fifteen companies in Strategy Analytics’ Online Advertising Index outperformed the overall index annual growth in the second quarter as well as on an annual trailing twelve months basis.
