Strategy Analytics' Digital Media Index (DMI) analyzes quarterly revenue trends for 37 publicly traded digital media companies across games, advertising, video, music, and social media. The Digital Media Index measures growth on both a quarterly and trailing twelve month (TTM) basis.
Global digital media revenues continued to grow in the Q3 2018 among companies tracked, reaching $100.8 billion, up nearly 24% from $81.1 billion in Q3 2018. In terms of absolute revenues, Google remains the DMI leader, generating $28.9 billion in revenues during Q3 2018, followed by Facebook with $13.7 billion, and Tencent with $12.2 billion. Amoung the fastest growing companies in 3Q 2018 were Microsoft, which grew 17% QoQ, Snapchat (14%), and Real Networks (12%).
